Our Projects
CARBON LITERACY
In 2021 we launched the Carbon Literacy Project training for staff and students, with over 60 people attending in 2021. Training sessions will continue to be run regularly and will be promoted on the Environment Team social media pages @covunisust.
CYCLING
With over 800 cycle parking spaces and a network of cycle routes linking the campus together, we are keen to support students and staff in cycle across campus.
HedgeHog Friendly Campus
Coventry University is a Hedgehog Friendly Campus and has achieved the Bronze Accreditation in the Hedgehog Friendly Campus Awards 2021-22.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE
University Estates are using electric vehicles to combat carbon emissions. Coventry University purchased its first electric vehicle in 2015 and now operates 13 across its Coventry campus,
BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION
Working with the British Heart Foundation we have donation bins throughout campus and run end-of-term Pack for Good campaigns when our students move out of accommodation to encourage the donation of unwanted items.
WARP IT
In 2022 Coventry University relaunched the Warp It scheme. Warp It is an online reuse portal for University staff to advertise, give away and sell University equipment and furniture internally, preventing it from going to landfill.
